It all started with a text message I received from Demi asking me if I would be up to photographing her NYC Elopement in Central Park. This was a huge bucket list location and of course, I would want to be the one to capture their wedding day. I felt so honored that she reached out to me. We started planning and getting tickets booked and activities. There were about 12 of us total and it was hands down one of the best work trips I have ever been on. Literally, it was such a laid-back, romantic dream trip for an elopement.
Demi started out her wedding day in her cute little Times Square hotel room by ordering bagels and coffee. She got her hair and make-up done alongside her best friend Christine who was also a saint of a human that trip. She was so helpful and hands-on, we met up with the boys at Cap Cot in Central Park and proceeded to get Demi ready to walk down the aisle. The weather was a little chilly but it was so beautiful watching these two perfect people confess their love to each other and promise forever.
The energy that NYC gives off is so nostalgic and romantic that it truly shows in the photos.
After the ceremony, we ventured through Central Park and then later ended up taking the subway to one of the most amazing Italian restaurants. We all enjoyed dinner together and continued the celebration by continuing to bar hop and celebrate Mr. and Mrs.
If you are considering an NYC elopement and a busy urban city is your kind of vibe, I HIGHLY recommend going all out and doing the damn thing. Book me to photograph it, book your favorite hotel, boat, venue, anywhere, and anything you want just do it. You will be so happy you did. The Big Apple holds a lot of big memories.
